To trust does not mean that everything you want will happen, but that everything that happens you can accept. Therefore, trust is acceptance.
For Today: To "accept all things" can be quite a challenge. For instance, can you accept disease? Can you accept failure? Can you accept those closest to you, even if they don't live up to your expectations? Can you accept imperfection? Can you accept losing your home, your job, or even change itself? People resist acceptance because it makes them feel as if they have no control over their lives. Therefore, they fight & struggle to "make things happen" the way they think they "should" be as a way to maintain control. This type of thinking only creates more anger, fear, & especially doubt. However, when you can take a situation in your life that has caused you frustration & turmoil & just accept it...let it be what it is at that moment...then you will experience a new type of inner freedom you may have never before experienced! It's called TRUST in the Self, which is the only source of permanent safety & security. So, come on...take action today & accept just one thing, person, or feeling in your life & watch what happens!
Contrary to what many believe, the ego is not something "bad", or something that should be eliminated. In fact, it is your greatest teacher for it will reveal every aspect of your limited self-perception.
For Today: Be aware of all insecurities, fears, or doubts you may experience today. The ego self will help you see where you exist in limitation and need to detach from the limited belief systems that create your limited self-perception.
YOU are the only permanent source of safety & security.
For Today: When you come to the realization that YOU are the answer to every question and that YOU are the only one who can truly fulfill all of your needs, then you will experience a sense of security and inner peace that you have never before experienced. Take inventory of your life at this moment - adversity and all. Know that you are not your experiences - they are there to help you see your own separation. So, dare to trust yourself as much as you would trust your perception of God - for you are God also!
There is not ONE Truth, but One’s Truth.
For Today: Truth is not to be confused with "belief". Rather, it refers to one's honest and genuine feelings. Since most people hide their true feelings not only from others, but from themselves, they become attached to and feed off of others' thoughts and emotions. It can be difficult to experience some feelings but remember - feelings are not "bad". In fact, they are a gift because they can help you become aware of whether or not you exist in separation. Today, admit and then write down any feeling you have been afraid to express. Be honest with yourself. By doing so, you will come to know your Truth.
The fear of stepping off the "cliff of familiarity" is not so much about falling into the abyss below but rather, fear of trusting in who you really are as Limitless Consciousness.
For Today: The "cliff of familiarity" is simply a metaphor for taking it safe instead of taking a risk. What areas in your life do you choose to play it safe instead of take a risk? If you remain in an unhappy or unfulfilling relationship or job, look closely at the fear attached to your decision to remain in such a situation. To Be Honest with The Self and acknowledge the fear is the first step in awakening to your Truth.
